Full Dark, No Stars
November 7th, 2011

Anyone who’s read The Stand or It knows Stephen King’s a master of the long form, but those familiar with his short story collections know he’s just a deft when it comes to short stories.

Veritoken
December 2nd, 2009

Because the software stays on the key you can use it in any Internet-connected computer and you’ll stay connected until you close the software, even if you unplug the key. A bundled VPN client to get you the rest of the way (the Veritoken just provides the connection) would be an improvement, but the Veritoken is a good start when even logging on remotely is so convoluted.

Sharkwater
August 15th, 2008

"Sharks represent the sum of many fears for us," he says during his recent promotional tour in Sydney. "They were set up pretty cruelly from the get go, but we just know so little about them. We’ve explored more about the surface of the moon than we have the oceans."

Toshiba NB200
January 13th, 2010

iLife ’09
August 5th, 2009

iMovie has a new video stabilisation feature and GarageBand offers you a new feature called Lessons, which — as the name suggests — teaches you how to use it. If you buy a new Mac iLife ’09 is included, but if you have an older model, the first shock you’ll receive is that it only works on Mac OSX 10.5.

Fair Tale of Self Discovery
September 10th, 2003

“It was my intention that it’d be this allegorical, hyperreal world,” McNamara says when finally able to relax during his whirlwind publicity tour for Rage in Placid Lake. “It’s one of the reason the movie looks stylised.”
