Here's the thing, guys: your trailer sucks. It makes your movie sounds like another of those dull, by-the-numbers Generation X romantic comedies in the sanitary How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days mould.

It's said to work even on distant subjects but it's when you're photographing up close that it really makes a difference. It's a separate thing to the macro mode (extreme close-ups) but it works surprisingly well.

The Hifi comes with a fabric grille to hide the speakers, but the matt black plastic speaker plate is something you'll want on show as it complements the shiny white casing perfectly.

Currently at rung number two on the industrial design ladder, Sony have once again taken a leaf out of Apple's book and released a computer that's individual and pretty but still looks like it can handle things.

if you're really that much of a technophobe, it comes with a remote control that behaves no differently than that of your living room DVD player. The jury's still out on watching movies on such small screens (7 inches in this case), but if it's the future this is a user-friendly first step.
